This cross-cutting theme will ensure that social care research is a central component of ARC Thames Valley, fostering long term engagement Care System (ICS) partners beyond the NHS and supporting delivery of projects driven by local needs in these under resourced sectors.
Support provided by unpaid carers, local and national voluntary organisations, home-based support services, social workers, and professional care staff is important to the health and well-being of communities. Our work focuses on embedding research into these settings and working together on specific interventions that strengthen care closer to home.
Our goal is to ensure that high-quality research evidence becomes part of decision-making and frontline practice. We are also helping more social care staff with the skills and support to do this.
