Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)

Training and learning opportunities

Our current opportunities tend to be low key and informal.

  • We offer an induction process.
  • We offer ongoing 1:1 support for all governance public contributors.
  • We support individual personal development where possible.
  • Conferences, events and other opportunities:
    • There is no formal process for this, but we use our ‘Who does what’ process to make decisions.
    • We share opportunities as they arise
    • We support people to attend our own Showcase events and the ARC PPI networking meetings.
    • We occasionally pay for attendance at information/learning sessions e.g. an EDI session
    • We share information about events that might be of interest.
  • Working groups offer learning opportunities.
  • We offer presenting and/or chairing opportunities as they arise.
